Cost& Funding
The number that scares people is rarely the number you actually pay. Studying in the USA is funded from a mix of sources. Here is what it costs, and every way to cover it.
It is notone big cheque.
Almost nobody pays a US sticker price out of one account. Funding comes from a mix: family and savings, scholarships, assistantships, sometimes a loan. The trick is assembling enough, and proving it is real.
Costs swing hugely by school, so the smart move is choosing where the numbers work and stacking your sources to meet them. That is exactly the planning we do with you, with current, honest figures.
The cost, in parts.
A US plan is really five buckets. Tap each to see what sits inside it, and why we never pin a single number to the total.
Stack your sources.
Tap the sources you could draw on. Watch them combine into a funding picture, the way real plans are actually built, from several places at once.
Illustrative only, not naira. The blocks show how sources combine, not real amounts. Scholarships and assistantships are competitive and never guaranteed. We confirm the actual figures and what you can realistically secure.
Scholarships & aid.
Free funding is real, but it is competitive and it rewards early movers. Tap each type to see how it works and who it suits.
We help you find and apply for the funding you have a real shot at. Early starts win awards.

However you fund it, you must prove the money exists and is available. The school checks it for your I-20, and the officer checks it again at the interview.
It must be available
Liquid funds you can actually use, shown with bank statements and letters. Assets you cannot quickly access do not count for much.
Sponsors must be documented
If someone funds you, you show who they are, their relationship to you, and clear proof they can and will pay.
No money that just appears
A large deposit landing days before you apply raises questions. Funds should be explainable, with a history, not a sudden top-up.
It all has to match
Your funding documents, your I-20 and your DS-160 must tell one consistent story. Mismatches are a fast route to a refusal.
Bring it down.
The total is not fixed. The choices you make can move it a lot. Tap each lever to see how.
Where money slips.
A funded plan can still come undone over how the money is handled and shown. These are the avoidable ones.
Forgetting living costs
Budgeting tuition but underestimating rent, food and insurance. The full plan is far more than the fee line.
Last-minute money
A big deposit appearing right before you apply. Unexplained funds read as a red flag to schools and officers.
Money you cannot prove
Funds with no clear source or paperwork. If you cannot document it cleanly, it will not count when it matters.
Missing award deadlines
Scholarships and assistantships close early. Applying late, or not at all, leaves real money on the table.
Skipping assistantships
Not even trying for funded roles in graduate study. They are competitive, but they are the biggest prize when won.
Figures that disagree
Funding that does not match your I-20 or DS-160. One consistent story is what gets you through.
We makeit affordable.
Funding is where the right guidance saves real money. We help you find programs you can actually pay for and assemble a funding plan that holds up.
Schools you can fund
We steer you toward programs where your profile attracts aid and the numbers work, not just the famous names.
Scholarships and roles
We help you target merit awards and assistantships you have a real shot at, and apply before the deadlines close.
Funding that passes
We build proof of funds that satisfies the school for your I-20 and stands up at the visa interview.
We will not quote you a fixed cost from thin air, and we cannot promise a scholarship or a visa. What we can do is confirm real figures, find the funding you can realistically reach, and plan it properly.
