One score,Every door. The tests that get you in, working, and staying.
There is no single Canada English test. The one you need depends on the door you are opening. Here is how to pick right.
One test doesnot fit all.
There is no single "Canada English test." The one you need depends on the door you are opening: getting admission, getting your work permit, or going for PR. Each accepts a different set of tests.
Pick the right test for the right goal and the whole journey gets smoother. We are an authorised ETS test centre and a British Council IELTS centre, so we prepare you for every one of them, and help you choose before you book.
What is it for?
Tap your goal. The test that counts changes with it.
Get into a program
Schools set their own English requirement. Most accept IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT or PTE Academic. This score is about getting your offer letter.
We prepare IELTS and TOEFL in house as an official centre, so you train and test in one place.
Get your PGWP
For the Post-Graduation Work Permit you need CLB 7 for a degree or CLB 5 for college, in all four skills, from one of the immigration tests.
IELTS Academic does not count here. You need IELTS General Training, CELPIP or PTE Core.
Go for PR
The same immigration tests, but aim as high as you can. CLB 7 is the baseline for Express Entry, and every band above it lifts your ranking.
This is the single biggest factor you control, so it is worth real preparation.
Raise a score you have
Already have a score but need more, for a higher PR ranking or a band you just missed? A focused re-take on your weakest skill is usually faster than starting over.
We diagnose which skill is costing you points and train just that one to lift the whole result.
The ladder.
Canada converts every test into one 12-level scale, the CLB. Pick a target and see exactly where you need to land.
The bar for a college PGWP
For a college diploma PGWP you need CLB 5 in all four skills. CELPIP maps straight across, so CELPIP 5 is CLB 5.
Degree PGWP and the PR baseline
A degree PGWP and the Express Entry baseline both sit at CLB 7 in all four skills, roughly IELTS 6.0 in every band.
The level that scores big for PR
Reaching CLB 9 earns serious Express Entry points. It is the difference between being in the pool and being competitive in it.
All four skills must clear the bar, from one sitting of one test. Equivalents are approximate, your official score report is what counts.

Same name. Different test.
IELTS comes in two versions, and they are not interchangeable. This single detail trips up more people than any other.
For getting in
Reading and writing built around academic texts and university tasks.
Your admission and offer letter.
For staying
Everyday and workplace English, the version Canadian immigration accepts.
Your PGWP and PR applications.
Many people take Academic for their offer, then discover immigration needs General Training. If your plan runs all the way to PR, line up the right version early, and we will tell you which you need.
Which test, when.
Your language test is not a one-time hurdle. It shows up again at each stage, in a different form.
For your offer
An admission score to satisfy your program. The school sets the bar.
For your PGWP
An immigration test at CLB 7 or 5, in all four skills, to unlock your work permit.
For your ranking
The immigration tests again, this time as high as you can, to lift your ranking.
For citizenship
Proof of language can be asked for again when you apply to become a citizen.
Train where you test.
We are not a side-room tutor. We are an official centre, so your prep and your test live under one roof.
Authorised ETS centre
An official test centre for TOEFL and GRE, with preparation taught by people who run the real thing.
British Council IELTS centre
IELTS preparation and registration for both the Academic and General Training versions.
CELPIP preparation
Focused CELPIP coaching for the Canada-context test. See our CELPIP page for the full detail.
Built for the band.
Generic practice wastes months. We train the exact skills, in the exact format, for the exact score you need.
Diagnose first
We measure your real level across all four skills, so you train from where you actually are.
Fix the weak band
One skill usually holds the score down. We target it directly instead of drilling what you already pass.
Full mock tests
Timed, format-true practice so the real test feels like a repeat, not a shock.
Test-day technique
The tactics and timing that turn the level you have into the score on the report.
