Most scholarships for international students in Australia cut part of your tuition. Fully funded awards do exist, mainly Australia Awards for master's study and research scholarships for PhDs, but they are few and highly competitive.

The Australian Government's flagship award for master's study by coursework, and Nigeria is an eligible country. It generally covers full tuition, a return airfare, a living allowance and health cover. You must return home for at least two years after you finish, and applications usually close around April for the following year's intake.
Universities award Research Training Program scholarships to research students, international applicants included. They can cover tuition and pay a living stipend. They are very competitive and usually depend on your research record, a strong proposal and a supervisor willing to take you.
Most universities offer international merit scholarships that cut tuition by a set amount or percentage. They rarely cover living costs, and many are assessed automatically when you apply for admission, so a strong application matters.
Some regional campuses offer extra awards, such as Destination Australia, to students who study and live in regional areas. Eligibility differs by university and many are for domestic students only, so check each one before counting on it.
Employers, foundations and some home-country schemes fund study abroad, and real ones exist. But never pay anyone who promises you a scholarship, and never build your budget around an award you have not been given.

Can a scholarship replace proof of funds for my visa?
Only the part it actually covers. If an award pays part of your tuition, you still need genuine funds for the rest of your costs, so plan as if you are self-funded until an award is confirmed in writing.
